a.k.a. National Knit Month. NaKnitMo is a group that I belong to on Ravelry see group: NaKnitMo
which in the month of November, each member strives to meet their number of stitches knit goals. It is a knitter's version of the National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo where novelists are striving for a 50,000 word goal.

Well, I am not a writer. Pretty obvious right??? Since I have fewer than 20 blog posts and only 6 (WONDERFUL) followers. I don't really have a lot to say and even less patience putting it down. But, I am quite fond of knitting. AND the Holidays are quickly approaching. I have some holiday knitting that I need to get cracking on. What better incentive?

If you feel like joining, GREAT! If not, feel free to cheer me on. I plan on updating my ravelry projects page with finished objects for this and hopefully this blog.

Happy Knitting!!

p.s. This is my first attempt at a ticker... please forgive me if this doesn't update.

  1. Oh noes, does this mean I have to do NaNoWriMo AND NaKnitMo?!?! :O It should NaKnitandCrochetMo. ;]

  2. You can count crochet and knit stitches. :)

  3. WAIT. That means I have to count stitches...every single stitch I do? I usually get the majority of my knitting and crocheting done in front of the tv and couldn't count all them stitches. No way, Jose. That's too much! I'll stick with the words. ;]

  4. I can't post on your Twitter, but your Chuck Norris jokes? The Black Eye Peas were just the Peas before Chuck Norris got to them. I LOVE CHUCK NORRIS JOKES. Aha, no matter what mood I'm in they always make me happy! :D

  5. ha, you and Jeanette sure like to complicate the 'counting stitches' thing. I just count rows and then figure out my sts for day. Place a stitch marker when you start and then write it down when you are done. I am doing an easy peasey scarf for a swap... 50 sts per row... 20 rows, 1,000 sts. Easy. Chuck Norris knows you can do it.

  6. Yeah, I think we're a tad OCD. I am, at least. Good idea, though. I might have to do that, too.

Chuck Norris created knitting when he looked at two sticks and some string and they turned into a scarf. LAME, but still worthy of the LOLs.

  7. I'm not OCD, just lazy. I just want to knit without thinking too hard. Knitting should be completely mindless, for me anyways.

I do however want to challenge myself to the writing. We'll see if laziness or writing wins out. haha.

  8. Ahahah, me too. It's going to be too much to count stitches and words. I'll get it done, the writing at least.

YES! Come join the 50,000 Words or Bust Club! :D
